We are seeking an experienced Senior Accounting Manager for a 6+ month contract opportunity with an immediate start. This fully remote role is ideal for a hands-on accounting professional with strong general ledger knowledge, month-end close experience, and a proven track record supporting external audits. The ideal candidate is proactive, resourceful, and comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the month-end close process, including reviewing and approving journal entries, account reconciliations, and supplemental monthly reporting schedules.
• Perform balance sheet and income statement variance analysis, investigate discrepancies, and provide meaningful insights.
• Support external audits and tax preparation for U.S. entities, including preparing documentation and responding to auditor requests. Experience supporting Big Four audits is highly desirable.
• Review and approve accounts payable transactions and payment processes to ensure accuracy and appropriate controls.
• Document accounting processes and internal controls, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement initiatives to increase efficiency.
• Prepare financial reports and analyses to support various departments and stakeholders across the organization.
• Partner with internal teams to support accounting operations, maintain accurate financial records, and meet reporting deadlines.

Required Qualifications

• Strong accounting background with a solid understanding of general ledger accounting and U.S. GAAP.
• Demonstrated experience supporting external audits, including audit preparation, documentation, and coordination with external auditors.
• Hands-on experience with month-end close, journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Required: Proficiency with NetSuite.
• Ability to work independently, learn new systems and processes quickly, and proactively identify and resolve issues.
