Senior Accounting Supervisor

About the role

The Senior Accounting Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily accounting operations, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial records, and supporting the preparation of financial reports and statutory requirements. The role provides leadership to the accounting team, reviews accounting transactions, and ensures compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and applicable government regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor daily accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, disbursements, and bank transactions.
• Review and ensure the accuracy, completeness, and proper documentation of accounting entries and supporting documents.
• Oversee month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Ensure timely preparation and reconciliation of account schedules and subsidiary ledgers.
• Review journal entries, adjusting entries, accruals, and other accounting transactions.
• Monitor and resolve accounting discrepancies and unusual transactions.
• Prepare and/or review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Ensure financial reports are accurate, complete, and submitted within established deadlines.
• Supervise, coach, and mentor accounting staff.
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors during audit activities.

About you

• Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• At least 3–6 years of relevant accounting experience.
• At least 1–2 years of supervisory or team-lead experience.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Knowledge of Philippine taxation and BIR compliance.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong leadership and people-management abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
