Senior Accounting Technician

Qualifications & Skills

• 5+ years accounting experience
• Proficiency with Quickbooks Online
• Strong organizational and time management skills - must be efficient
• Strong attention to detail
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience managing team members considered an asset

Key Responsibilities

• Mentor and lead accounting technicans over multiple sites
• Review monthly reporting for individual entitites
• Review monthly reporting for the group as a whole
• Ensure proper controls in place
• Lead monthly budgeting meetings
• Lead the annual budgeting process
• Ensure accuracy of all financial entries and coding
• Support month-end close and year-end audit preparation
• Maintain organized and complete financial records for Companies
• Other duties as required

Other Details to Note:

• About 2 days every 2 months would be spent in New Brunswick to manage the accounting team there. The remaining time would be in an office in Charlottetown PE, Monday to Friday approximately 8am-4pm.

Pay: $50,000.00-$60,000.00 per year

Education:

• Bachelor's Degree (preferred)

Experience:

• Senior Accounting: 3 years (required)
• Accounting: 3 years (required)
