As our business continues to grow, we are looking for a proactive and dependable finance professional to take ownership of our statutory compliance and accounting function. This is a high-responsibility role for someone who enjoys building strong processes, ensuring compliance, and working closely with senior management to safeguard the company’s financial governance.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare GST returns and manage TDS, TCS, income tax, MCA and other applicable compliances. Maintain a compliance calendar and meet filing deadlines.
• Perform bank, customer, vendor, GST, TDS and TCS reconciliations; investigate and resolve differences.
• Review accounting entries, credit notes and debit notes, and maintain accurate supporting records.
• Coordinate statutory and internal audits; prepare schedules, reconciliations and working papers.
• Prepare documentation and draft responses to departmental notices in coordination with external Chartered Accountants.
• Prepare periodic MIS and compliance reports for management.
• Maintain fixed asset records and support payroll compliance and import transaction documentation, as applicable.
• Work with internal teams to improve accounting processes and financial controls.

Candidate profile

• 5–6 years of relevant experience in accounting and statutory compliance.
• Strong practical knowledge of GST, income tax, MCA, TDS/TCS and reconciliations.
• Able to independently track deadlines, prepare supporting workings and coordinate with auditors and consultants.
• Advanced Excel and MIS reporting skills are essential.
• B.Com/M.Com or CA Inter/CMA Inter preferred.
• Experience in a CA firm or a trading/distribution business is preferred.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics NAV (Navision) is an advantage.
