Role Description The Senior Accounts Payable role is a part-time hybrid position based in Rochester, NY, with flexibility for some work from home. This role is responsible for managing the full accounts payable cycle, including receiving, verifying, and processing vendor invoices, ensuring accurate coding, and preparing timely payments. The position involves reconciling vendor statements, resolving invoice and payment discrepancies, and maintaining up-to-date records in the accounting system. The Senior Accounts Payable team member will also review and process employee expense reports, support month-end closing activities through journal entries, and collaborate with Finance and Accounting colleagues to improve processes and controls. This role requires a high level of accuracy, organization, and confidentiality in handling financial information.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Accounting and Finance skills, with experience in accounts payable operations.
• Candidates should possess proficiency in processing Expense Reports and managing related policies and documentation.
• Candidates should possess the ability to prepare and review Journal Entries (Accounting) as part of month-end and year-end closing.
• Candidates should possess solid Analytical Skills to identify discrepancies, reconcile accounts, and support process improvements.
• Practical experience with ERP or accounting software, and strong Microsoft Excel skills.
• Attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a cross-functional, international team.
• Relevant education in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications in accounting or finance are an advantage.
