Position Summary

As a Senior Actuarial Analyst for TIRD, you will apply your actuarial expertise beyond one insurance company and contribute to the development of Thailand's general insurance industry. You will play a key role in TIRD's actuarial work as the industry's rating bureau, helping to ensure that our reference loss costs, rating methodologies, and industry statistics are technically sound, independent, and trusted by insurers and the regulator. The Senior role focuses on pricing: developing and maintaining reference loss costs, rating methodologies, and risk classifications for major general insurance lines. This is a hands-on role in which you will work with unique industry-wide data and engage directly with insurers and the regulator. We are hiring for 2 positions. Candidates with 3+ years of experience will also be considered at the Actuarial Analyst level.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain reference loss costs, rating methodologies, and risk classifications for major general insurance lines.

• Analyze industry claims experience, including frequency, severity, loss development, and trends, to ensure that methodologies and benchmarks remain relevant and current.

• Analyze industry data across various contexts and situations to serve regulatory bodies and the business sector.

• Apply appropriate standards for data, assumptions, methodologies, documentation, validation, and peer review.

• Produce industry statistics and benchmark reports for insurers, the regulator, and industry stakeholders.

• Present and explain actuarial findings clearly to insurers, the regulator, and industry associations.

• Work closely with TIRD's actuarial team and our data, analytics, and other functional teams.

Qualifications

• Degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.

• Around 5 years of general insurance actuarial experience for the Senior level, with strong hands-on experience in pricing and loss-cost analysis. Candidates with 3+ years of experience are welcome to apply.

• Experience leading a workstream or significant actuarial project is an advantage for the Senior level.

• Ability to explain technical findings clearly to technical and non-technical audiences, in both Thai and English.

• High professional integrity, independence, and sound judgment.

• Actuarial qualification, or substantial progress toward a recognized actuarial qualification, is preferred.

• Experience at, or working closely with, a rating bureau, regulator, industry association, consultancy, or insurance data organization is a plus.

• Experience in reserving and predictive modelling is a plus.
