Senior Actuarial Consultant

About the Role

An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced actuarial professional with a strong background in capital modelling and specific experience within the Lloyd’s market. This role offers the opportunity to apply technical actuarial expertise to complex capital and risk-related challenges, contribute to key project deliverables, and engage with stakeholders across the insurance industry.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and enhance internal capital models.
• Perform model calibration, parameterisation, debugging and technical analysis.
• Contribute to capital model development, validation and transformation projects.
• Analyse insurance risks and assess capital requirements.
• Support capital strategy, model methodology development and regulatory reporting.
• Interpret model outputs and communicate technical findings to key stakeholders.
• Contribute to broader actuarial projects across capital modelling, pricing, reserving and risk management.

Qualifications

• Relevant qualification with good exam progression

Required Skills

• At least 4 years of relevant actuarial experience, ideally within the insurance or reinsurance sector.
• Extensive experience in capital modelling, with a strong understanding of capital requirements and risk frameworks.
• Demonstrable experience working with Lloyd’s syndicates and an understanding of the Lloyd’s regulatory environment.
• Hands-on experience with Internal Capital Models (ICMs), including model development, validation, governance, enhancement or review.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage effectively with a range of stakeholders.
