Senior Agronomist

Location: Udaipur, Rajasthan

About the Role

We are seeking a hands-on Agronomist or Senior Agronomist to drive crop management, agricultural innovation, and farm operations in the Udaipur region. This role focuses on optimizing crop performance through scientific field trials, developing customized Package of Practices (PoPs), and working directly with our farmer network to diagnose on-ground challenges and deliver effective solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Agronomic Trials: Plan, design, and execute on-farm experiments and agronomic trials to test new methodologies and inputs.
• Crop Improvement: Implement dynamic, technical interventions to actively maximize crop yield and quality throughout the growing cycles.
• Package of Practices (PoP): Prepare, update, and deploy scientific, localized PoP schedules tailored to specific crops and regional conditions.
• Farmer Support & Troubleshooting: Travel regularly to operational areas, conduct field visits, identify crop health issues, and provide actionable, on-the-spot solutions directly to farmers.
• Farm Operations: Guide overall farm operations, ensuring that the best agricultural practices are efficiently executed on the ground.

Qualifications & Experience

• Education: M.Sc. or Ph.D. in Agriculture or Horticulture.
• Experience: Minimum 2 years of active, hands-on experience working as an Agronomist.

Key Skills & Requirements

• Proven, practical expertise in end-to-end farm operations.
• Strong diagnostic problem-solving skills for field-level crop management.
• Willingness to travel frequently to farming clusters and operational areas.
• Ability to communicate technical agricultural concepts clearly to farmers.
