Status: Remote: 12mos. Project Based | Full-Time (40 hours/week)

Role Objective
The Senior AI Automation Specialist will lead the design, development, and implementation of AI-powered automation solutions that improve business efficiency, reduce manual processes, and enhance operational scalability. The role will identify automation opportunities across business functions, integrate AI tools and platforms, and build reliable workflows that streamline repetitive tasks, improve data accuracy, and support better decision-making.

Role Description

• Design, develop, and implement AI-driven automation workflows across business operations, including administrative, customer service, sales, marketing, finance, and internal processes.
• Analyse existing workflows and identify opportunities to eliminate repetitive manual tasks through AI, automation, integrations, and process optimisation.
• Build and maintain automation solutions using platforms such as Make, Zapier, n8n, Power Automate, or similar workflow automation tools.
• Integrate AI tools and large language models such as OpenAI, Claude, Gemini, or similar technologies into business processes and applications.
• Develop AI-powered agents, chatbots, assistants, document-processing workflows, and automated decision-support solutions where appropriate.
• Connect and automate workflows across CRMs, project management systems, communication platforms, databases, spreadsheets, APIs, and other business applications.
• Work with APIs, webhooks, JSON, and data structures to create reliable system-to-system integrations.
• Evaluate emerging AI technologies and recommend practical solutions that can improve productivity, customer experience, and business performance.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimise automation workflows to ensure reliability, accuracy, security, and scalability.
• Establish appropriate testing, documentation, error handling, and monitoring processes for all automation solutions.
• Collaborate with management and internal teams to understand business requirements and translate them into practical AI and automation solutions.
• Maintain clear documentation of workflows, integrations, prompts, system architecture, and automation processes.
• Continuously measure the impact of implemented solutions and identify opportunities for further optimisation and automation.

Qualifications & Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in automation, software development, systems integration, AI implementation, or a closely related technology role.
• Demonstrated experience designing and implementing end-to-end business automation solutions.
• Strong hands-on experience with automation platforms such as n8n, Make, Zapier, Power Automate, or equivalent.
• Practical experience working with AI/LLM technologies, including OpenAI, Claude, Gemini, AI agents, prompt engineering, RAG, or similar applications.
• Strong understanding of APIs, webhooks, REST APIs, JSON, OAuth, and third-party system integrations.
• Experience with scripting or programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, or similar is highly desirable.
• Experience integrating CRMs, ERP systems, databases, communication tools, and other SaaS platforms.
• Strong understanding of workflow design, process mapping, automation architecture, and business process optimisation.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex automation issues and develop robust error-handling and fallback processes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Excellent English communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong attention to detail and a proactive mindset toward identifying opportunities for AI adoption and process improvement.
• Experience working with Australian businesses or international clients is an advantage.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment while managing multiple automation projects and priorities.
