Senior AI Data Scientist

Job Summary:

• Support AI development programs, including AI process transformations and continuous improvement projects.
• You’ll take business problem statements through POC and prototype, then package solutions for handoff to delivery.

Responsibilities

• Translate business problem statements into AI/ML approaches and run POCs
• Experiment with and tune GenAI/RAG components (chunking strategy, embeddings, retrieval algorithms, prompts) and evaluate outcomes
• Build prototypes and package validated solutions as artifacts for the delivery team
• Work in Azure AI Foundry and Databricks
• Collaborate with the product owner, AI/ML engineers, and architects
• Mentor junior team members

Required Qualifications

• Senior-level, hands-on data science experience (no purely managerial profiles)
• Production experience with GenAI/LLM and RAG solutions
• Strong Python and ML/statistical modeling skills
• Experience with Azure AI Foundry/Azure OpenAI and Databricks
• Experience moving solutions from POC to prototype
• Clear communicator with business acumen

Preferred

• Industrial, energy, or manufacturing domain experience
• Model evaluation and experimentation frameworks
• MLOps familiarity
