About the Role

Are you an experienced engineer who wants to build functional, industrial-scale AI tools rather than theoretical proofs of concept?

We are seeking a Senior AI Engineer to join a dedicated AI engineering team for a global leader in proprietary process technology licensing in Brno. In this role, you will play a key part in designing, building, and deploying a portfolio of over 100 custom Generative AI tools, automated agents, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures to streamline engineering and business processes worldwide.

Key Responsibilities

• AI Tool Development: Design, build, and deploy custom GenAI applications, automated agents, and RAG architectures tailored for internal engineering, legal, HR, and finance departments.
• Process Automation: Automate data extraction and verification from complex technical documentation, engineering drawings, and proprietary datasheets.
• Model Fine-Tuning: Fine-tune open-source and enterprise LLMs and vision models on proprietary datasets while ensuring high performance, security, and scalability.
• Pipeline & MLOps: Construct robust data pipelines and manage production deployments using Databricks, Docker, and cloud infrastructure (Azure/AWS).
• Global Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional engineering and digital teams in Brno, the US, and Western Europe.

Qualifications & Skills

• Experience: Minimum 5 years of overall technical/engineering background, with at least 3 years dedicated to practical AI/ML and Generative AI development.
• Technical Stack:
• Advanced proficiency in Python.
• Hands-on experience with Databricks and cloud platforms (Azure or AWS).
• Strong expertise in building RAG pipelines, vector databases, and orchestration frameworks (e.g., LangChain, LlamaIndex).
• solid understanding of deep learning frameworks (PyTorch or TensorFlow) and containerization (Docker).
• Industry Background (Huge Plus): Candidates with formal education or prior engineering experience in chemical, mechanical, or process engineering who transitioned into AI/ML.
• Language: Fluent English (written and spoken) for daily international communication.
