Senior AI Engineer

About the Job

As a senior member of our AI and Automation team, you will design, build, and deploy production-grade AI solutions that power Falck’s digital transformation. From voice AI features to the agentic frameworks behind Falck GPT, our internal LLM platform, you will own projects end-to-end, turning concepts into scalable, business-critical products.

Key Responsibilities

• AI Solutions Development: Design, develop, and implement end-to-end AI solutions throughout their full lifecycle. This includes setting technical direction, architecting robust AI systems, coding production-grade applications, conducting thorough testing, and continuously optimizing performance. You will work extensively with AI-enabled applications, natural language processing technologies, and agentic frameworks to create intelligent solutions that address real business needs.
• Collaboration & Continuous Improvement: Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to integrate AI functionalities seamlessly into existing systems, and mentor less experienced engineers along the way. Propose innovative solutions to complex technical challenges and contribute to continuous process improvements.
• Platform & Infrastructure Ownership: Own the deployment and operation of what you build — cloud infrastructure (primarily Microsoft Azure), CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code, data and retrieval pipelines, and the monitoring and evaluation that keep AI systems reliable in production.
• Business Partnership & End-to-End Delivery: Work directly with internal business stakeholders across Falck, scoping problems with them and delivering independently across the full lifecycle.

About You

• Qualifications
• 5+ years of experience in Software Engineering, including hands-on experience building AI-powered products.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as JavaScript, Python or similar.
• Proficiency in modern frontend and backend web frameworks such as React (Next.js), Svelte, and Flask.
• Solid grasp of machine-learning fundamentals and a working understanding of how modern LLMs behave in production.
• Proven experience designing and operating systems in production owning architecture decisions, reasoning about cost and latency trade-offs, and standing behind what you ship.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills, a keen curiosity about recent advances in AI research, and the ability to apply innovative solutions to real-world problems.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with cloud platforms, particularly Microsoft Azure.
• Experience with deployment infrastructure, IaC and CI/CD.
• Hands-on experience with agent frameworks and tool-calling architectures.
• Experience building retrieval pipelines (RAG) over messy, real-world data.
• Familiarity with LLM evaluation and observability.
• Experience building AI responsibly: guardrails, prompt-injection defenses, and data protection in LLM systems.
