About role

This role involves building cutting-edge, AI-native interfaces and data explorers for CLOUDSUFI, a global leader in data-driven digital transformation. As a Senior Frontend Developer, you will focus on developing generative UIs, interactive D3.js visualizations, and natural-language search features that integrate directly with advanced LLMs and agent workflows.

Key Responsibilities

• Feature Development: Build React and TypeScript features across data explorers, topic pages, and natural-language search.
• Data Visualization: Create interactive D3.js/SVG visualizations (choropleth maps, timelines, scatter plots, ranking tables) complete with zoom, brushing, tooltips, and linked charts.
• AI Interfaces: Design AI-native interfaces, including conversational query UIs, streaming LLM answers, and agent workflows that display plan steps, tool calls, progress, and cited sources.
• Generative UI: Build generative UIs where model output selects and fills real chart and table components, handling fallbacks, error states, and user controls.
• API Integration: Integrate with Flask and Mixer APIs, maintaining chart and query state in the URL for shareable links.
• Quality Assurance: Ship responsive, accessible (WCAG), and fast UI, complete with tests, through GitHub pull requests.

Key Requirements

• English: Professional proficiency in verbal and written English communication.
• Experience:
• +8 years of professional frontend development.
• +3 years of React experience, including hooks, state, and component architecture.
• Core Languages: Strong proficiency in TypeScript and JavaScript (ES6+, async/await)
• Styling & Design: Deep knowledge of CSS/SCSS, Flexbox/Grid, responsive layouts, and accessibility standards.
• API & State: Experience with REST/JSON APIs and client state management, including URL serialization.
• AI Experience: Proven experience building at least one LLM-powered UI, such as a chat interface, AI search, copilot, or agent.
• Testing & Tools: Experience with Jest, React Testing Library, Git/GitHub PRs, and professional English proficiency.

Desired skills

• Agentic UX: Experience designing for human-in-the-loop approvals, multi-step progress, cited answers, and handling model uncertainty.
• AI Tools: Familiarity with the Gemini API, Google ADK, Model Context Protocol (MCP), prompt design, and evaluating AI features for quality, latency, and feedback.
• Backend & Data: Knowledge of Python/Flask, gRPC/Protobuf, and knowledge graphs (StatVars, DCIDs, provenance, Schema.org, MCF, JSON-LD, RDF).
• Build & Infrastructure: Familiarity with Webpack, npm/yarn, Bazel, Docker, and GCP (GKE).
• Advanced Testing: Experience with Percy and hermetic E2E tests, as well as a history of open-source contributions.

Working conditions

• Contract Duration: 12 Months.
• Payment per hour: 22 USD
• Location: Guadalajara, Mexico.
• Work Arrangement: 100% Onsite.
• Schedule: 5 days per week; remote work is not available for this position.

Job Type: Contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: $400.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 10.0 per week
