Senior AI Security Engineer

I’m looking for a Senior AI Security Engineer to join a highly technical, globally operating investment firm where technology, data and engineering are central to the business.

This is a hands-on role for someone who wants to do more than write security policies or review designs. You’ll be building and shipping security controls directly into the AI platforms, inference gateways and developer tools that engineers use every day.

As a Senior AI Security Engineer, you will:

• Design and build security controls for AI platforms, inference gateways and developer tooling.
• Embed security directly into existing engineering workflows, making the secure option the default.
• Establish how AI agents are identified, what they can access and how their permissions are enforced.
• Build telemetry and audit trails to track what AI agents do, on whose behalf they act and which systems they access.
• Secure developer tools, plugins, dependencies and the models used across the business.
• Threat-model live systems, covering platform security, agent permissions, inference gateways and AI supply chain risks.
• Implement fixes and remediation measures identified through threat modelling.
• Identify gaps in security controls and prioritise improvements based on risk and delivery needs.
• Set the technical direction for AI security and help develop the function’s capabilities.

Who you are:

• 8+ years’ experience in security engineering, software engineering, platform engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Strong hands-on software engineering skills, with the ability to build and ship security controls into production.
• Experience with LLM platforms, inference gateways or agent frameworks.
• Deep expertise in at least one of application security, cloud/platform security or security architecture, with working knowledge across the others.
• Hands-on experience securing cloud platforms and CI/CD pipelines.
• Proficient in using coding agents in day-to-day engineering work.
• Able to make sound technical and security decisions in fast-moving environments.
