Senior AI Security Research Engineer

For our client, we are seeking a Senior AI Security Research Engineer to join the team of a leader in the Enterprise Technology space.

This role will focus on strengthening AI resilience across software and hardware systems through deep security assessment and applied research. You will help turn security findings into practical remediation, while also shaping how AI tools are adopted within security operations. The position requires close partnership with engineering, security, and senior leadership stakeholders to improve defensive capabilities and reduce risk.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $157,675 – $238,500 annually

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough security assessments of software and hardware systems for AI resilience
• Translate AI security findings into actionable fixes for application security
• Develop and pressure-test AI-enabled security tools and promote their use within the organization
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including senior leadership, on AI security issues
• Define and guide the strategic adoption of AI within security operations
• Employ advanced AI tools for red-teaming efforts and defensive measures
• Promote and embody the organization's cultural principles while scaling operations

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in application security or related fields with demonstrated impact
• Hands-on experience using AI and LLM tools in security workflows
• Experience with technical security assessments in both software and hardware environments
• Proficient in secure code solutions using languages like Go
• Familiarity with AI development and cloud services, particularly AWS
