Senior AI Software Engineer
Lisbon | Hybrid – 2 days/week
Up to €100,000 + profit sharing + benefits
I’m working with a fast-growing AI product company looking for a Senior AI Software Engineer to help build production AI systems using LLMs, agents and modern AI tooling .
This is a hands-on engineering role, roughly 70–90% backend , working across:
- Production LLM applications & AI agents
- Backend services, APIs & integrations
- Tool calling & human-in-the-loop workflows
- Testing, permissions & failure handling
- TypeScript/React web applications
- AI evaluation and production reliability
Tech: Python, TypeScript, React, APIs, databases, LLMs & agents.
You’ll need strong software engineering fundamentals and experience shipping production software, ideally within a product, startup or scale-up environment .
You don’t necessarily need commercial AI experience — substantial personal LLM/AI projects will also be considered.
