Senior AI Solutions Engineer (Forward Deployed)

About the role

This is a senior, hands-on, client-facing role. You will own AI solutions for our clients end to end: running discovery, designing the solution, building and integrating the AI agents yourself, and staying accountable until they deliver measurable results in production. Half solution architect, half engineer, fully owning the outcome. You will also be a go-to technical reference for the team and help junior members grow.

Key responsibilities

• Lead client discovery and translate business requirements into AI use cases and solution designs, together with product, engineering, and customer success
• Build and configure production AI agents (chat and voice), including LLM prompts, RAG knowledge bases, agentic flows with tool calling, and AI to human handover logic
• Build and guide integrations with client systems (CRM, payment, ticketing, internal APIs) via REST APIs and webhooks
• Own deployments end to end: testing with real data, go-live, reliability, and continuous optimization
• Present live demos and solution walkthroughs to client stakeholders, including senior management
• Monitor performance metrics and analyze conversation data to improve resolution, engagement, and conversion
• Conduct client workshops and training to drive AI adoption across client organizations
• Manage multiple client projects in parallel, set priorities, and keep delivery on schedule
• Mentor junior team members, review their work, and set best practices for AI solution delivery
• Create documentation and playbooks, and feed client insights back to product for new features

About you

• 3+ years in client-facing technical roles (solutions engineering, presales, implementation, or AI delivery), with at least 1 year hands-on building LLM-based solutions
• Proven track record of building chatbots, voicebots, or AI agents that went live in production, ideally including RAG, agentic workflows, or AI to human handover
• Hands-on with Python or Node.js, REST APIs, webhooks, and JSON; comfortable debugging integrations yourself
• Solid understanding of LLM concepts: prompt engineering, RAG, embeddings, tool/function calling, and evaluation
• Experience delivering multiple client projects in parallel with clear ownership of timelines and outcomes
• Confident running discovery sessions, live demos, and workshops with client stakeholders
• Experience leading or mentoring a small team, formally or informally
• Strong data and metrics mindset to measure and improve AI performance
• High agency: comfortable with ambiguity, proposes direction, and drives decisions without waiting for perfect requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent practical experience
• Fluent in English (spoken and written) is a must, plus fluent Indonesian
• Willing to work full-time on-site in Jakarta (Hybrid)

Nice to have (Strong point):

• Experience with voice AI (STT, TTS, voicebot deployment)
• Exposure to WhatsApp Business API, omnichannel, or contact center platforms
• Experience with multi-agent orchestration or LLM observability tools
• Experience working with regional clients (Singapore, Malaysia, Australia, Thailand)
