About the Role

We're hiring a Senior AI/DevOps Engineer to keep an AI platform and its agents reliable in production. You'll own the full deployment lifecycle: cloud infrastructure, CI/CD and its quality gates, agent serving and scaling, observability, cost, and incident response.

The client is a specialized financial advisory firm, backed by global private equity, building an AI-native managed services platform for finance and accounting teams. You'll work alongside the AI engineers building the agent runtime, making sure what they ship deploys cleanly, scales, and shows up on a dashboard well before it shows up in a user complaint.

It's a fully remote, 6 to 8 month contract for engineers based in the UK or Germany. The role suits someone at a mid to early senior level who likes owning infrastructure end to end and wants hands-on exposure to how LLM systems behave under real load.

What You'll Do

• Own the cloud infrastructure on Azure Container Apps, including managed-identity secrets through Key Vault references and the release pipeline for backend services and agent workers
• Enable AI capabilities across Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud
• Build and maintain CI/CD with the gates that protect main: formatting, strict linting, warnings-as-errors compilation, the full test suite, branch protection, and required reviews
• Run the staging auto-migration job on Container Apps Jobs
• Operate agent serving and scaling across two deployment models (self-hosted workers for sensitive client data, and managed cloud sandboxes) with connection pooling and per-session supervision
• Background-job orchestration, HTTP connection pooling, and SSE streaming infrastructure
• Own observability: telemetry over LLM requests and cron jobs, dashboards, alerting, and the signals that catch regressions before users do
• Keep LLM and infrastructure cost in check, from token spend and model selection to capacity planning
• Lead incident response and take part in the on-call rotation

Qualifications

• Mid to senior level experience in cloud infrastructure and CI/CD, with a bias toward automation and infrastructure-as-code
• Production observability skills across metrics, logs, traces, and alerting
• On-call and incident-response maturity, plus a cost-optimization mindset
• Comfort operating polyglot services in containers, including BEAM (Elixir/OTP) releases and agentic workers
• Based in the UK or Germany and comfortable working fully remote

Nice to Have

• Hands-on Azure and AWS experience
• LLM cost and observability tooling, such as token accounting and eval-in-prod signals
• Depth in container orchestration and secrets management
