About The Role We are seeking a Senior AI/ML Engineer to develop high-performance navigation and spatial reasoning algorithms for complex 3D environments. This role will focus on algorithm development, machine learning, evaluation, performance metrics, and production inference workflows.

The ideal candidate combines strong software engineering and algorithm development skills with experience in navigation, routing, path planning, spatial reasoning, simulation, robotics, geospatial systems, computer vision, or other complex spatial environments .

You will have significant technical ownership and will help move algorithms from research and prototyping through evaluation and into reliable, production-ready systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, train, test, and evaluate navigation, spatial reasoning, routing, and path-planning algorithms.
• Design algorithms that enable fast movement, routing, and reasoning through complex 3D environments.
• Build and maintain data pipelines and inference pipelines supporting navigation-related capabilities.
• Develop evaluation frameworks and define meaningful metrics for models, algorithms, and production pipelines.
• Analyze algorithm performance across accuracy, latency, robustness, scalability, reliability, and operational constraints.
• Optimize algorithms and inference workflows for high performance and low latency.
• Collaborate with AI/ML, backend, data, product, and engineering teams to integrate capabilities into production platforms.
• Document algorithm behavior, evaluation results, limitations, performance tradeoffs, and operational considerations.
• Help transition algorithms from prototype to scalable, production-ready implementations.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in software engineering, machine learning, data science, algorithm development, applied AI, or a related technical field.

• Strong proficiency in Python and modern software engineering and/or machine learning workflows.

• Demonstrated experience with one or more of the following:

• Navigation

• Routing

• Path planning

• Spatial reasoning

• Robotics

• Simulation

• Geospatial systems

• 3D environments

• Spatial data

• Related algorithmic domains

• Experience training, testing, evaluating, and benchmarking algorithms or machine learning models.

• Experience developing data pipelines, inference pipelines, or production AI/ML workflows.

• Ability to define and analyze metrics related to accuracy, latency, robustness, scalability, and reliability.

• Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, optimization, and production AI/ML practices.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate technical tradeoffs.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience developing high-performance or low-latency algorithms.
• Experience applying computer vision to object detection, recognition, or related perception problems.
• Experience with C++, Rust, Go, Java, or other lower-level/object-oriented programming languages.
• Experience with simulation environments, mapping systems, robotics, 3D structures, or spatial computing.
• Experience optimizing inference for latency, throughput, robustness, or deployment cost.
• Experience working in regulated, government, defense, or security-sensitive enterprise environments.
• Experience taking AI/ML algorithms from research or prototype stages into production.
