About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled and client-facing Senior Alteryx Data Engineer with 8+ years of experience in designing, building, and optimizing enterprise-scale data transformation and analytics solutions. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Alteryx Designer, Alteryx Server, ETL/ELT processes, data engineering, and workflow automation .

This role requires strong stakeholder management skills, the ability to work directly with business and technology teams, and experience delivering solutions in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Experience with Databricks, PySpark, and modern cloud-based data platforms is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, optimize, and maintain complex Alteryx workflows, macros, and analytic applications .

• Build scalable data pipelines for data ingestion, cleansing, transformation, validation, and reporting.

• Work directly with clients, product owners, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

• Lead technical discussions, solution design workshops, and client presentations.

• Improve workflow performance, scalability, and maintainability across enterprise applications.

• Develop reusable frameworks, standards, and best practices for Alteryx development.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Data Engineers, Architects, Analysts, and Business Users.

• Troubleshoot data quality, performance, and production issues.

• Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to project planning and estimation.

• Drive continuous improvement and automation initiatives to increase operational efficiency.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Mandatory

• 8+ years of experience in Data Engineering, ETL, or Analytics Engineering.

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Alteryx Designer and Alteryx Server .

• Strong expertise in:

  • Workflow development

  • Data blending and transformation

  • Macro development

  • Analytic Apps

  • Workflow optimization

• Advanced SQL skills with expertise in data modeling and database concepts.

• Experience working with large-scale enterprise data environments.

• Strong understanding of ETL/ELT architecture and best practices.

• Experience with data validation, reconciliation, and quality frameworks.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

• Proven experience in client-facing roles.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced delivery environment.

Preferred / Nice to Have

• Experience with Databricks platform.

• Hands-on experience with PySpark for distributed data processing.

• Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP .

• Knowledge of Delta Lake, Data Lakehouse architectures.

• Experience with CI/CD and DevOps practices for analytics deployments.

• Alteryx certifications (Designer Advanced, Expert, or Server Administration) preferred
