Job Title: Senior Analyst (ACH Operations)

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Analyst – ACH Operations to support ACH payment processing and operations for a leading U.S. Banking Client. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of ACH processing, NACHA rules, ODFI/RDFI operations, FedACH, mainframe systems, and U.S. payment regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and support ACH payment processing, transaction validation, and exception handling.
• Ensure ACH transactions comply with NACHA Operating Rules, formats, and U.S. regulatory requirements.
• Understand and support ODFI and RDFI processes across the ACH payment lifecycle.
• Work with FedACH for ACH processing, settlement, returns, and related operational activities.
• Use mainframe systems to investigate transactions, research exceptions, and resolve payment discrepancies.
• Monitor ACH returns, rejects, unauthorized transactions, and processing errors.
• Support ACH reconciliation, transaction investigations, and operational controls.
• Coordinate with internal teams to resolve issues and maintain service-level agreements.

Required Skills & Experience

• 7+ years of relevant ACH Operations experience.
• Strong knowledge of ACH (Automated Clearing House) processing and payment flows.
• Hands-on understanding of NACHA Rules and ACH file formats.
• Knowledge of ODFI/RDFI roles and processes.
• Experience with FedACH.
• Hands-on experience with mainframe systems.
• Strong understanding of U.S. payment regulations and compliance requirements.
• Excellent analytical, investigation, reconciliation, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of The Clearing House (TCH) and the Electronic Payments Network (EPN).
• Experience with ACH Positive Pay (ACH PPAY), ACH blocks, and authorizations.
• Understanding of ACH batch files and Standard Entry Class (SEC) Codes.
• Exposure to domestic wire transfer operations.
• Experience handling ACH returns, exceptions, and payment investigations.
