Genius People is working with leading advisory firms in Melbourne to recruit Senior Analysts for restructuring and business recovery opportunities.

We are interested in speaking with professionals who have developed a foundation in restructuring or insolvency and want to build their experience within an established advisory team. This includes experienced Analysts seeking a step up and Senior Analysts considering their next firm.

The balance of advisory work and formal appointments differs between teams. We will explain the engagement mix and technical expectations of each opportunity before you decide whether to proceed.

The role

Depending on the team and engagement, responsibilities will include:

• Analysing financial performance, cashflow and the causes of financial distress.

• Preparing and reviewing financial forecasts and supporting business assessments.

• Contributing to restructuring, turnaround and business recovery engagements.

• Supporting administrations, receiverships and trading appointments.

• Preparing analysis, reports and recommendations for review by senior advisers.

• Working with client management, lenders, creditors and other stakeholders as required.

Your background

You will have relevant experience in restructuring, business recovery or corporate insolvency within an accounting or advisory firm. Strong financial analysis, Excel skills and the ability to communicate the commercial implications of your findings are important.

We would like to understand your personal contribution to engagements, your exposure to forecasting and trading businesses, and your CA, CPA or ARITA qualification progress.
