What they need

Overview

One out of every two small businesses fail within their first five years, most often due to running out of cash. Intuit QuickBooks is on a mission to provide small & medium-sized businesses access to all the tools they need to manage cashflow. We leverage the rich data inside QuickBooks to enable super-fast payments, payroll, bill pay, and access to capital. With QuickBooks, entrepreneurs never again have to worry about not making payroll or saying no to a business opportunity. That’s how we power prosperity around the world.

We are seeking a Senior Fraud & Risk Analyst as part of our growing Risk Data Intelligence (RDI) team within Intuit’s Global Solutions Business Group (GSBG). Be at the cutting edge of fintech — GSBG moves tens of billions of dollars for Intuit’s customers. The successful analyst will work across functions (Fraud & Risk Policy, Data Science, Compliance, Marketing, Product, Finance, and others) and use data to drive insights that help achieve GSBG’s short- and long-term outcomes. We’re looking for a candidate who will help build a strong analytics culture as part of our growing team.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate insights clearly and concisely to technical and non-technical audiences, including leadership, through structured storytelling and executive-ready deliverables.

  • Develop compelling, intuitive dashboards and visualizations that monitor performance, surface opportunities, and support timely strategic and operational decisions.

  • Design, execute, and interpret data-driven tests and experiments (including A/B tests) to evaluate business initiatives and compare performance against goals.

  • Partner with stakeholders and analysts so analytical solutions are scalable, repeatable, and aligned with team and company goals.

  • Perform deep analysis on large-scale transactional and behavioral data to uncover trends, diagnose anomalies, and inform fraud, credit, or policy strategies, including new risk-adjusted approaches.

  • Translate ambiguous questions into structured analytical approaches using available data, domain knowledge, and business judgment.

  • Investigate root causes of performance gaps or anomalous risk behaviors, and recommend timely, data-driven corrective actions.

  • Identify and address gaps in data quality, availability, or structure that limit measurement, experimentation, or insight generation.

  • Build and maintain clean, reliable data pipelines to support monitoring and experimentation at scale.

Qualifications

  • Strong analytical ability and proven business acumen with at least 3 years of experience in analytics, data science, or decision strategy. Experience in financial services or fintech preferred.

  • Advanced SQL and working knowledge of Python for data exploration, transformation, segmentation, and automation of analytics workflows.

  • Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., QuickSight, Tableau, Qlik) and experience building dashboards for monitoring and decision support.

  • Solid understanding of statistical analysis and experimentation, including A/B and multivariate testing; experience designing tests and interpreting results to guide decisions.

  • Proven track record of influencing cross-functional decisions through data-driven recommendations.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to synthesize complex data into clear narratives.

  • High degree of ownership, accountability, and empathy in cross-functional settings.

  • Experience defining, tracking, and operationalizing KPI or OKR metrics with partners.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Science, Math, or another quantitative field, or commensurate experience.
