General

We are looking for Senior Android Developers to build secure, user-friendly digital banking experiences for SMEs using Kotlin, Jetpack Compose and clean, modular Android architecture.

Responsibilities/Activities

• Work on SME digital banking areas such as mobile/web banking, digital onboarding, lending, multichannel services and innovation initiatives
• Own complex native Android features end to end, from user interface to data and API integration, for SME banking products
• Turn Figma designs into polished, accessible screens using Jetpack Compose, Android Views and a shared design system
• Make architecture decisions, define clean module boundaries and lead safe refactoring of legacy code
• Build reusable Kotlin components using MVP or MVVM, dependency injection and reactive programming
• Integrate REST services and local persistence while keeping reliability, performance and secure data handling in mind
• Write and improve unit, instrumentation and screenshot tests; review code and maintain engineering standards
• Improve app performance, accessibility and security, including integration with mobile identity features when needed
• Work with product, design, backend and QA teams in Agile sprints, supporting frequent releases and continuous improvement

Requirements

Technical

• At least 5 years of hands-on Android development experience, with Kotlin as the main programming language
• Strong knowledge of the Android SDK, app lifecycle, data structures and algorithms
• Proven ability to write clean, reusable and maintainable code for large Android applications
• Hands-on experience with Jetpack Compose and classic Android Views, including modern UI patterns
• Solid experience with clean, modular architecture, MVP and MVVM, plus sound refactoring practices
• Dependency injection using Dagger2 or Hilt
• Reactive programming with RxJava and/or Kotlin Coroutines and Flow
• Experience with local databases (including Realm), REST APIs and networking tools such as Retrofit and OkHttp
• Experience with automated unit, instrumentation and screenshot testing; familiarity with JUnit and mocking tools
• Good understanding of mobile app security, performance, accessibility and code quality practices

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field, or equivalent practical experience

• Good oral and written communication skills (English and Romanian)
• Clear communication skills and the ability to explain technical trade-offs and align the team
• Analytical, curious and comfortable giving feedback, receiving feedback and sharing knowledge
• Strong ownership of outcomes, with a collaborative, customer-focused approach to Agile delivery

Nice to have requirements

• Experience with animation libraries such as Lottie or Rive and consistent mobile design systems
• Experience with biometric authentication, maps and location services, or PDF rendering
• Exposure to anti-fraud or KYC tools such as Revelock or Onfido
• Familiarity with analytics and engagement tools such as Adjust, Salesforce, Medallia, Countly or Firebase
• Hands-on use of Detekt, SonarQube, Mockito, MockK, Robolectric, Roborazzi, JaCoCo or CI quality checks
• Background in business banking, digital SME onboarding or digital lending products
