Senior Android Developer / Senior iOS Developer

Position: Mobile Application Developer (Android / iOS)

Location: Remote during contract; Bentonville, AR, onsite upon conversion to full-time

Position Type: Contract-to-Hire

Job Description:

Seeking experienced Mobile Application Developers specializing in Android and/or iOS development to build, enhance, test, and maintain high-quality, scalable, consumer-facing mobile applications. The ideal candidates will have strong mobile engineering skills, experience with modern development practices, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional Agile teams.

Required Skills:

• Strong experience in Android or iOS mobile application development.
• Android: Kotlin, Android SDK, Jetpack Compose, and MVP/MVVM architecture patterns.
• iOS: Swift, Objective-C, and Apple SDKs.
• Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and software design patterns.
• Experience with Git/GitHub and version control systems.
• Experience with debugging, troubleshooting, and resolving production issues.
• Knowledge of unit and integration testing.
• Experience working in Agile development environments.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Android: 7+ years of Android application development experience.
• iOS: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field and 3+ years of experience building scalable e-commerce applications or mobile software.
• Experience building and shipping production applications using Jetpack Compose.
• Knowledge of Java multithreading, Kotlin Coroutines, Android architecture, and accessibility features.
• Experience with iOS memory analysis using Instruments.
• Experience with Xcode command-line build tools and Continuous Integration.
• Familiarity with Agile/SAFe methodologies.
• Experience developing and supporting large-scale, consumer-facing mobile applications.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, enhance, test, and maintain Walmart's mobile applications.
• Participate in peer code reviews and follow mobile development best practices.
• Collaborate with designers, product managers, and engineering teams.
• Troubleshoot application and production issues and provide ongoing mobile engineering support.
• Contribute to scalable mobile solutions and continuous application improvement.

• Work remotely during the contract period.
• Must be willing to work onsite in Bentonville, Arkansas, upon conversion to full-time employment.
• Candidates should have strong hands-on expertise in Android or iOS development.
