Senior Application Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and self-driven SAP S/4HANA ERP Engineer (Quote-to-Cash / SD) to design, develop, troubleshoot, and debug complex software applications and ERP solutions. In this role, you will provide critical IT support, maintenance, and project execution within our ERP Quote-to-Cash (Q2C) environment, aligning technical solutions with overall organizational strategies and business goals.

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities

• Application Analysis & Design: Work with stakeholders to perform functionality gap analyses, feasibility studies, and translate business requirements into detailed technical and functional design specifications.
• Configuration & Development: Build software enhancements through expert SAP SD configuration and development to meet core business needs.
• Testing & Quality Assurance: Perform rigorous unit testing on application enhancements prior to QA. Develop, define, and review test plans and scripts for functional, performance, regression, and UAT testing.
• Quote-to-Cash & SD Ownership: Provide end-to-end ERP support and maintenance within the Q2C ecosystem, investigating, troubleshooting, and resolving system-related and production issues.
• Advanced Operations: Leverage specialized expertise in SAP S/4HANA (preferably 2025 On-Premise) and advanced Available-to-Promise (aATP), ATP, and Backorder Processing (BOP).
• Collaboration & Documentation: Partner with business representatives, IT teams, and reporting teams to build scalable solutions. Maintain accurate documentation for system design, configuration changes, custom developments, and user training.
• Security & Compliance: Analyze applications for compliance with security protocols and recommend changes as needed. Participate in and lead incident management, troubleshooting, and after-action reviews.
• Leadership: Lead workstreams for smaller projects, mentor junior engineers, and guide business users on test scripts and training materials.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) in a related discipline required (MIS degree is strongly preferred).
• Experience:
• Typically requires 5–8 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; OR 3–5 years of experience with a Master’s degree (MS/MA).
• Technical Expertise:
• Strong hands-on experience supporting and maintaining SAP SD functionality, configuration, and technical objects.
• Preferred: Experience with SAP S/4HANA 2025 (On-Premise) .
• Preferred: Expertise in SAP aATP (Advanced Available-to-Promise) , ATP , and Backorder Processing (BOP) .
• Soft Skills: A self-starter capable of working independently, solving complex problems under uncertainty, and quickly becoming productive with minimal guidance.
