Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and technically strong Senior Application Engineer – Industrial Process Automation with hands-on expertise in Siemens and Rockwell Automation PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems.

The candidate must be capable of independently handling complete industrial automation projects, including requirement analysis, system architecture, PLC programming, SCADA development, engineering documentation, team coordination, FAT/SAT, and site commissioning.

The role requires strong technical leadership, project ownership, customer coordination, and troubleshooting capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

1. PLC, HMI & SCADA Engineering

• Develop, program, test, and commission Siemens and Rockwell PLC systems.
• Design and develop HMI and SCADA applications using Siemens WinCC and Rockwell FactoryTalk.
• Implement process control logic, PID loops, sequences, interlocks, alarms, and batch automation.
• Integrate PLC systems with instrumentation, VFDs, field devices, and third-party equipment.
• Troubleshoot PLC, SCADA, communication, and process automation systems.

2. Project Engineering & Execution

• Independently handle industrial automation projects from requirement gathering to final commissioning.
• Understand customer URS and technical requirements.
• Prepare system architecture, Functional Design Specifications (FDS), I/O lists, control philosophies, and engineering documentation.
• Plan engineering activities, assign tasks, monitor progress, and ensure timely project delivery.
• Conduct Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), Site Acceptance Tests (SAT), and commissioning activities.

3. Team Leadership & Coordination

• Lead, guide, and mentor application engineers and junior engineers.
• Review PLC programs, SCADA applications, and engineering documentation.
• Coordinate with customers, internal teams, vendors, and site personnel.
• Independently resolve technical issues and manage project-related engineering requirements.

4. Customer & Site Management

• Attend technical discussions and understand customer requirements.
• Provide technical solutions and recommendations.
• Manage site commissioning, troubleshooting, and customer coordination.
• Ensure quality, reliability, and timely project completion.

• Troubleshooting and commissioning

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in industrial process automation.
• Strong hands-on experience with both Siemens and Rockwell Automation systems.
• Proven experience in independently executing automation projects.
• Experience leading engineering teams and managing customer requirements.
• Strong PLC programming, SCADA development, and troubleshooting skills.
• Good communication, documentation, and technical problem-solving abilities.
• Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Automation, or a related engineering discipline.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites as required.
