What You Will Do:

• Lead the development of customized AMHS and automation solutions based on customer specifications, site conditions, and operational requirements.
• Translate customer requirements into system concepts, layouts, design specifications, technical proposals, and feasibility assessments.
• Prepare and review conceptual designs, 3D models, 2D drawings, assembly drawings, BOMs, calculations, and project documentation.
• Perform engineering calculations, including motor RPM, linear speed, loading, clearance, tolerance, and basic throughput or cycle-time checks.
• Support Sales during pre-sales activities through technical discussions, presentations, proposal preparation, and design reviews.
• Conduct customer and site discussions, coordinate technical interfaces, and resolve application-related issues throughout the project lifecycle.
• Coordinate with Sales, R&D, Mechanical Design, Electrical, Controls, Simulation, Project Management, Production, and Installation teams.
• Plan and monitor application engineering deliverables to meet project schedules, quality expectations, and customer requirements.
• Provide technical leadership during installation, testing, integration, troubleshooting, commissioning, and final site verification.
• Identify design risks, installation constraints, safety concerns, and improvement opportunities, and recommend practical mitigation actions.
• Mentor junior engineers and review their technical work to improve engineering quality, consistency, and knowledge transfer.
• Ensure compliance with applicable ISO requirements, internal procedures, safety practices, and cleanroom standards.
• Travel locally or overseas when required to support customer and project activities.
• Perform other related duties assigned by the reporting manager.

What You Will Bring (Required Qualifications):

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or an equivalent engineering discipline.
• At least 5 years of relevant working experience, preferably 5-6 years, in application engineering, mechanical design, AMHS, automation, semiconductor equipment, or a related field.
• Good understanding of semiconductor manufacturing, cleanroom requirements, automated material handling systems, and system integration.
• Proficient in SolidWorks and AutoCAD or DraftSight; able to prepare clear 3D models, 2D drawings, layouts, BOMs, and technical documentation.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles, fabrication processes, material selection, design ergonomics, safety, tolerance analysis, and engineering calculations.
• Able to understand and coordinate mechanical, electrical, controls, software, and facility interfaces for automation projects.
• Able to lead significant project scopes independently, prioritize multiple tasks, manage schedules, and support on-site execution with minimal supervision.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with confidence in customer engagement, technical presentations, and cross-functional coordination.
• Able to guide junior engineers, review technical work, support problem solving, and promote structured engineering practices.
• Willing to travel locally and overseas based on project requirements.
