Senior Application Operation Engineer

About the role

Senior Application Operation is responsible for providing day-to-day operational support for the bank's production applications to ensure availability, stability, and timely issue resolution. This role serves as a key frontline support function, working under guidance from Senior Application Operation and Application Operations Lead in a regulated Virtual Bank environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide L2 support for production applications.
• Monitor application health, alerts, and operational dashboards.
• Respond to application incidents and service requests according to procedures.
• Perform initial troubleshooting and escalate complex issues when required.
• Support application deployments, releases, and configuration changes.
• Execute routine operational tasks such as application restarts, job monitoring, and housekeeping.
• Ensure application access control and operational procedures are followed.
• Maintain incident records, operational logs, and documentation.
• Collaborate with Senior Application Operation, DevOps, Cloud, and Infrastructure teams.
• Support DR, BCP, and operational readiness activities as required.

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Minimum 5–7 + years of experience in application support or IT operations.
• Experience supporting production applications or customer-facing systems.
• Basic understanding of ITIL processes, especially Incident and Change Management.
• Familiarity with cloud-based application environments is preferred.
• Willingness to work in shift-based or on-call operational support.
• Good troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
