Senior Application Security Engineer

Role & responsibilities

• Perform automated and manual security testing of applications, APIs, and code.
• Support AI initiatives by establishing secure development practices and safeguards.
• Administer and maintain application security tools (SAST, DAST, SCA, secrets detection).
• Collaborate with developers to remediate vulnerabilities and integrate security into workflows.
• Contribute to security engineering automation and DevSecOps practices.
• Research emerging threats, tools, and techniques to improve processes.
• Prioritize and track remediation efforts with development teams.
• Integrate security controls into CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, Jenkins).

Preferred candidate profile

• 5 to 8 years of experience in application security, secure software development, or QA automation.
• Hands-on development experience (.NET, Angular, C#, JavaScript preferred).
• Strong knowledge of web application vulnerabilities and remediation methods.
• Experience with security testing tools (SAST, DAST, SCA).
• Proficiency in scripting/automation (Python, PowerShell, Terraform).
• Familiarity with Azure environments and CI/CD platforms.
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (preferred).
