Senior Application Security Engineer | AI Security & Secure SDLC

A leading financial organization in Central Israel is looking for an experienced Senior Application Security Engineer to provide technical security guidance to development and infrastructure teams across complex enterprise environments.

The role combines Application Security, Secure Software Development Lifecycle (Secure SDLC), DevSecOps, and emerging AI security technologies.

You will support development teams from initial design through production, help define secure architecture and development standards, and contribute to the protection of AI platforms, agents, and related components.

What You'll Do

• Provide application security guidance to development and infrastructure teams throughout the software development lifecycle, from design to production
• Ensure compliance with security, technology, architecture, and regulatory standards
• Analyze complex Application Security challenges and recommend practical security solutions
• Implement Secure SDLC methodologies and secure development practices
• Provide security guidance for AI platforms and components, including AI Agents, Model Context Protocol (MCP), and AI Skills
• Evaluate emerging technologies and security tools for AI-based environments
• Integrate SAST, DAST, and other application security tools into CI/CD pipelines
• Work with development and delivery platforms such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, and Artifactory/Nexus
• Support application security practices across Kubernetes, GKE, and OpenShift environments
• Develop technical documentation, security guidelines, and knowledge-sharing materials
• Mentor developers and technology teams on Application Security principles and secure coding practices

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years of experience in software development, technical guidance, or software architecture, with a focus on Application Security in enterprise environments
• Familiarity and practical exposure to AI components such as Agents, MCP, and Skills
• Experience working on large-scale, cross-functional technology projects
• Strong understanding of CI/CD processes, automation, and Git
• Experience with SAST/DAST and application security tools such as Checkmarx, Mend, Sentinel, Xray, or similar solutions
• Familiarity with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, Artifactory/Nexus, Kubernetes, GKE, and OpenShift
• Strong knowledge of Application Security principles, OWASP Top 10, and SANS Top 25
• Ability to lead technical discussions, guide development teams, and promote secure engineering practices
• Strong independent working skills, adaptability, and the ability to collaborate across multiple stakeholders

Significant Advantages

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field
