The Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (ANZCA) incorporating the Faculty of Pain Medicine, is an internationally recognised specialist medical education institution responsible for the training, examinations, specialist qualification, and continuing professional development of all anaesthetists and pain medicine specialists in Australia and New Zealand.

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Application Support Analyst to provide advanced application support, technical expertise, and operational coordination across a diverse technology environment.

Reporting to the Application Support Manager, you will lead complex troubleshooting activities, support problem management and application enhancements, mentor team members, and act as a key escalation point for critical incidents and service challenges. You will also help ensure effective service continuity and support operations across the Application Support function.

Key responsibilities

• Support day-to-day operations and ensure service continuity during periods of Application Support Manager absence.
• Provide advanced Level 2 application support and lead incident resolution for complex issues.
• Develop and maintain support documentation, knowledge articles and support processes that improve team effectiveness.
• Build strong relationships with business stakeholders and drive continuous improvements in customer experience and service delivery.
• Conduct root cause analysis and drive problem management activities.
• Support application upgrades, releases, testing and enhancements.
• Coordinate with vendors and technology partners.
• Maintain application security, access management and compliance requirements.
• Mentor Application Support Analysts.
• Support projects through testing, deployment and transition into BAU operations.

About you

• 5+ years in Application Support or Business Systems Support.
• Strong ITIL knowledge and service management experience.
• Experience supporting cloud and SaaS environments.
• Advanced troubleshooting and SQL skills.
• Microsoft 365, Azure and Entra experience.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.

Highly regarded

• ITIL Foundation certification.
• Microsoft Power Platform experience.
• Exposure to Microsoft Fabric and modern data platforms.
• Software Testing, QA, Lean or Six Sigma experience.
