Senior Application Support Engineer

About the Role

Our client is looking for an Application Support Engineer to support a .NET application running on Microsoft Azure. You’ll focus on troubleshooting, monitoring and automating day-to-day support tasks, rather than developing new features.

• B2B contract;
• Start: ASAP
• Length of the first contract: 1 month with possible prolongation for 2027
• Regime : hybrid/remote

Key Responsibilities

• Look into application issues, analyse logs and debug code to find the root cause.
• Set up and maintain monitoring and alerting using Splunk and Azure.
• Analyse Event Viewer records, application logs and processing journals.
• Automate day-to-day support tasks using Bash, Python, PowerShell.
• Maintain GitHub Actions and Azure Pipelines.
• Manage certificates and work with Azure PostgreSQL Flexible Server, Cosmos DB configuration and secrets in Azure Key Vault.

Must-Have Skills

• Experience with Kubernetes and/or OpenShift, including pods, services and deployments.
• Scripting skills in Bash, Python, PowerShell.
• Ability to understand and debug application code.
• Basic knowledge of .NET and C#/Further knowledge of .NET and familiarity with Angular.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Azure, including monitoring, Azure PostgreSQL Flexible Server, Cosmos DB configuration and Key Vault.
• Skills in analysing logs and setting up monitoring and alerts with Splunk and Azure.
• Ability to maintain GitHub Actions and Azure Pipelines and manage certificates.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Familiarity with global ITSM processes in operations: Incident, Problem, Change and Request Management.
• Knowledge of PDF generation and printing, including troubleshooting with GhostScript or Syncfusion.
