Senior Application Operation Engineer - Virtual Bank

About the role

Senior Application Operation is responsible for providing advanced operational support for the bank's production applications to ensure high availability, stability, and performance. This role acts as a technical lead during incidents, supports complex issues, and ensures application operations comply with security and regulatory requirements in a Virtual Bank environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide L2 operational support for production applications.
• Lead resolution of complex application incidents and support major incident response.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Monitor application health, performance, and availability.
• Support application releases, deployments, patches, and configuration changes.
• Coordinate with Development, Cloud, Network, Data Platform, and Security teams.
• Ensure application access control, configuration, and security standards are followed.
• Support application DR, BCP, and operational readiness testing.
• Maintain and improve application operational procedures and runbooks.
• Mentor Application Operation team members and provide technical guidance.

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Minimum 5–7 years of experience in application support or IT operations.
• Strong experience supporting mission-critical production applications.
• Solid understanding of ITIL processes, especially Incident and Problem Management.
• Familiarity with cloud-based application environments.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.
• Experience working in regulated environments such as banking or financial services is preferred.
• Experience supporting 24x7 operations and on-call support is preferred.
