SENIOR ARCHITECT

MAIN FUNCTIONS

• Lead and coordinate architectural design activities from concept development through detailed design, construction and project completion.
• Develop architectural concepts, layouts, plans, elevations, sections, details and construction documentation in accordance with project requirements.
• Review project briefs, client requirements, site conditions and applicable planning and building regulations.
• Prepare and review architectural drawings, specifications, schedules and technical documentation.
• Coordinate architectural designs with structural, civil, mechanical, electrical, plumbing and other engineering disciplines.
• Lead design reviews and resolve architectural, technical and constructability issues throughout the project lifecycle.
• Review drawings and technical submissions from consultants, contractors and subcontractors to ensure compliance with approved designs.
• Provide technical guidance and supervision to architects, architectural technicians, designers and junior team members.
• Conduct site inspections to verify that construction activities conform to approved drawings, specifications and design intent.
• Identify design discrepancies, construction deviations and quality issues and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
• Review material samples, finishes, mock-ups and shop drawings and provide technical recommendations for approval.
• Coordinate Requests for Information (RFIs), technical queries, design changes and site instructions.
• Monitor architectural deliverables against project schedules, budgets and quality requirements.
• Participate in project meetings, design coordination meetings, progress reviews and client presentations.
• Ensure architectural designs comply with relevant building codes, planning regulations, accessibility requirements, fire and life-safety standards and project specifications.
• Support preparation of project estimates, material selections and value-engineering proposals where required.
• Maintain accurate records of revisions, approvals, drawings, specifications and project documentation.
• Coordinate preparation and review of as-built drawings and final architectural documentation.
• Support project handover and ensure outstanding architectural punch-list items are resolved.
• Promote sustainable, functional, safe and cost-effective architectural solutions throughout project execution.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• B.Arch/M.Arch or equivalent degree in Architecture.
• 8–12 years of relevant architectural experience, preferably in commercial, residential, industrial, infrastructure, oil & gas or major construction projects.
• Professional registration with the relevant architectural regulatory body is preferred.
• Strong experience in architectural design, construction documentation and site supervision.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit/BIM, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite or other relevant architectural software.
• Good knowledge of building codes, planning regulations, construction methods and architectural standards.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary engineering and construction teams.
• Strong design, technical, leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.

Pay: ₦140,000.00 - ₦240,000.00 per day
