Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated Data Platform Engineer to join our Platform Engineering team responsible for the delivery, operation, and modernization of enterprise-scale data platforms.

The Platform Engineering team supports large-scale data and analytics ecosystems that enable

data engineering, data warehousing, AI/ML, governance, observability, and operational intelligence workloads across hybrid infrastructure environments.

This role provides an opportunity to build expertise in modern data platform technologies including Cloudera CDP, Kubernetes, Elastic, cloud services, automation frameworks, and large-scale distributed systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Support deployment, configuration, maintenance, and administration of enterprise-scale data platforms.
• Manage platform lifecycle activities including provisioning, upgrades, patching, validation, and capacity planning.
• Provide operational support, incident management, troubleshooting, and service restoration.
• Ensure platform reliability, availability, performance, and operational stability.
• Develop and maintain automation solutions using scripting, Ansible, Terraform, GitLab, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Implement monitoring, alerting, observability, and operational reporting practices.
• Support modern data and cloud technologies including Cloudera CDP, Spark, Hive, Impala, Kafka, NiFi, Iceberg, Kubernetes, Azure, and Elastic Stack.
• Assist with security, compliance, platform hardening, authentication, authorization, and access management.
• Collaborate with application, infrastructure, security, and architecture teams for platform onboarding and issue resolution.
• Create technical documentation, runbooks, and operational procedures while supporting large-scale distributed and hybrid cloud environments.
