Senior Architect [Immediate available]

Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly motivated and independent Senior Architect with strong project management capabilities to lead architectural projects of varying scales and complexity. The ideal candidate is a Registered Architect in Hong Kong with a proven track record in delivering projects from conception through to completion, while demonstrating excellent teamwork and leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Project Leadership & Management

• Lead and manage architectural projects of various scales — from small-scale renovations to large-scale developments
• Oversee the full project lifecycle: feasibility, concept design, schematic design, design development, construction documentation, tender, and construction administration
• Develop project plans, set milestones, manage budgets, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality outcomes
• Monitor project risks, resolve issues proactively, and implement corrective actions where necessary

2. Design Excellence

• Drive design quality and innovation across all projects
• Present design concepts to clients, stakeholders, and statutory authorities
• Review and approve design drawings, specifications, and technical submissions
• Ensure design solutions are practical, cost-effective, and compliant with all relevant regulations

3. Statutory Submissions & Compliance

• Oversee and review GBP submissions, fire strategy, accessibility, and other statutory applications
• Ensure all designs comply with the Buildings Ordinance, Fire Services Ordinance, and other applicable legislation
• Liaise with government departments and respond to requisitions

4. Team Management & Development

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of architects, architectural assistants, and technical staff
• Delegate tasks effectively, provide constructive feedback, and support team members professional growth
• Foster a collaborative and high-performing team culture
• Conduct regular design reviews and ensure quality control across team outputs

5. Client & Stakeholder Engagement

• Act as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining strong professional relationships
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including structural, M&E, landscape, and quantity surveying consultants
• Present progress reports and design proposals at client and stakeholder meetings

6. Construction Administration

• Conduct site inspections and oversee contract administration
• Review contractor submissions, shop drawings, and material samples
• Assess variation orders and provide recommendations to clients
• Ensure construction quality aligns with design intent

Requirements:

• Masters degree in Architecture from a recognized institution
• Registered Architect in Hong Kong (registered with the Architects Registration Board) and/or HKIA Full Member
• Minimum 8+ years of post-registration architectural experience in Hong Kong
• Proven project management experience — demonstrable track record of managing projects of different scales (residential, commercial, retail, hospitality, or mixed-use)
• Strong knowledge of the Buildings Ordinance, Hong Kong planning requirements, and statutory submission processes
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, and MS Office; knowledge of BIM workflows is an advantage
• Fluent in English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin)
• Strong leadership, communication, and presentation skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with international clients or brand licensors
• Green building certification experience (BEAM Plus, LEED, WELL)
• Professional certifications beyond registration (e.g., CMI, RICS, or project management credentials)
• Knowledge of DfMA, MiC, or innovative construction technologies
