Senior / Assistant Manager (Learning Partnership)

As Senior / Assistant Manager (Learning Partnership), you will be responsible for developing, implementing and managing collaborative learning partnerships that drive organisational capability and workforce development.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, establish and nurture strategic learning partnerships with external training providers, educational institutions and subject matter experts aligned with hospital priorities
• Develop and manage partnership agreements, contracts and service level agreements to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness and timely delivery of training programmes
• Collaborate with departmental heads and stakeholders to understand learning and development needs across the organisation
• Design, coordinate and oversee the delivery of learning programmes in partnership with external and internal providers
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of partnership-delivered training through feedback, assessments and outcome metrics
• Manage training budgets and partnerships to optimise value for money and return on investment
• Stay current with industry trends, best practices and innovations in learning and development, particularly within healthcare settings
• Prepare reports and presentations on partnership performance, training outcomes and recommendations for senior leadership
• Ensure compliance with relevant training regulations, accreditation standards and institutional policies

What we're looking for:

• Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Training & Development, Adult Education or a related discipline
• At least 6 years of experience in learning and development, training management or organisational capability roles, preferably in a healthcare or large organisational setting
• Proven experience in establishing and managing partnerships or vendor relationships with external training providers
• Strong understanding of adult learning principles, instructional design and training delivery methodologies
• Demonstrated ability to assess training needs, design learning solutions and measure training effectiveness
• Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
• Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building capabilities across all organisational levels
• Proficiency in learning management systems (LMS) and training administration software
• Budget management experience and familiarity with training cost analysis and ROI calculations
• Leadership experience with the ability to manage, develop and motivate team members
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences
• Knowledge of healthcare workforce development, compliance training requirements and clinical education would be advantageous
