Senior Associate

About the role
 
Based in Auckland’s CBD, an outstanding opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Associate to join a leading Corporate & Commercial team with a strong reputation in mergers and acquisitions.
  
You’ll work across a broad range of sophisticated corporate matters, including private M&A, private equity and venture capital transactions, capital raisings, shareholder arrangements, and general corporate advisory. The work is high quality, often complex, and frequently involves well-known domestic and international clients.
  
This is a role for someone who enjoys being close to the action — leading workstreams, mentoring juniors, building trusted client relationships, and contributing strategically to transactions from start to finish.

What we’re looking for

• A motivated team-oriented corporate commercial lawyer with at least 8 years PQE who holds or is entitled to hold a current NZ legal practising certificate
• Strong background in corporate, commercial, and transactional work
• Demonstrated experience in private M&A transactions
• Strong technical drafting and advisory capability
• A commercial mindset and confidence working directly with clients
• A collaborative approach and the ambition to continue progressing your career
• You are motivated, forward-thinking and enjoy working as part of a cohesive, high-performing team
