Senior Associate

A highly regarded law firm is seeking a Senior Associate to join its London Tax team. This is an opportunity for an experienced corporate tax lawyer to handle a broad mix of transactional and advisory work, with particular emphasis on private capital investments, joint ventures and investment structures.

The role offers substantial responsibility on complex domestic and international matters, alongside opportunities to develop client relationships and contribute to the growth of the practice.

Responsibilities:

• Advise on the tax aspects of corporate transactions, private equity investments and joint ventures
• Structure transactions, investment funds and investment platforms
• Handle tax matters involving real estate, infrastructure and a range of private capital strategies
• Draft structure papers, detailed advice notes and transaction documentation
• Translate complex tax issues into clear, commercially focused advice
• Manage transactions and workstreams, coordinating with clients, colleagues and other advisers
• Develop client relationships and contribute to business development activities

Requirements:

• Qualified lawyer with at least 5 years’ PQE in corporate tax
• Relevant experience gained within an international law firm
• Experience advising corporate and commercial clients on domestic and international tax matters
• A background in some or all of private equity, real estate, infrastructure, venture capital, private credit or investment funds
• Experience structuring transactions or investment funds and platforms
• Strong technical, analytical and drafting skills
• Confidence managing complex matters and maintaining close client relationships
• Commercial awareness and an interest in developing the practice
