Senior Associate-Devops

Job purpose

The Senior DevOps Engineer is responsible for designing, automating, securing, and optimizing cloud platforms and software delivery processes, with a strong focus on Microsoft Azure. The role enables efficient and reliable application deployment through CI/CD automation, Infrastructure as Code, cloud-native technologies, and DevSecOps best practices while ensuring scalability, security, compliance, and operational excellence across enterprise environments.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage scalable, secure, and highly available cloud platforms primarily on Microsoft Azure.

• Develop, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and industry-standard DevOps tools to support rapid and reliable software delivery.

• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Bicep, ARM Templates, or equivalent.

• Implement and support containerized application deployments using Docker, Kubernetes, Azure Container Apps, or similar cloud-native platforms.

• Integrate security controls, vulnerability scanning, secrets management, and compliance checks into CI/CD pipelines following DevSecOps best practices.

• Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to engineering teams on DevOps, cloud, and platform engineering best practices.

Key competencies

• Collaborate with application development, architecture, and security teams to design and support deployment automation frameworks and release processes.

• Implement monitoring, logging, observability, and incident management solutions to ensure platform reliability and operational excellence.

• Support cloud networking, identity and access management, RBAC, API integrations, and enterprise security requirements.

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on automation, platform modernization, operational efficiency, and cloud cost optimization.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, MCA, or a related discipline.

• Strong expertise in Microsoft Azure services, cloud architecture, governance, and platform engineering.

• Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipeline design, release management, and deployment automation.

• Extensive experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep, ARM Templates, or equivalent).

• Strong understanding of DevSecOps practices, cloud security controls, identity management, Key Vaults, secrets management, and compliance frameworks.

• Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies including Docker, Kubernetes, and Azure Container Apps.

• Proficiency in scripting and automation using PowerShell, Python, Bash, or similar languages.

• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, problem-solving, and collaboration skills with the ability to work across multidisciplinary teams.

• Experience implementing monitoring, logging, and observability solutions using enterprise monitoring platforms.

• Strong knowledge of Git-based source control, branching strategies, repository management, and software delivery best practices.

• Ability to troubleshoot complex application, infrastructure, networking, and deployment issues in cloud environments.
