We are open to considering candidates across a broad range of experience levels within Property Damage or Property Litigation, provided they can demonstrate relevant technical expertise and a strong interest in this area of work.The Commercial Insurance team acts for a prestigious and long-standing client base and handles a varied, high-quality caseload of complex insurance-related property disputes.

This includes first party property damage (FPPD), third party property damage (TPPD), product liability, policy coverage matters and subrogated recoveries.This role can be based in Manchester, Leeds, Liverpool or Birmingham, with the benefit of hybrid working in line with our firm-wide approach.ResponsibilitiesAs a Senior Associate in the Property Damage team, you will engage in a wide range of activities, such as:To manage your own caseload of property related claimsUnderstand client requirements and manage cases in line with service level agreements and best practiceAnalyse risk and further develop sound judgement enabling the justification of decisions to clients internally and externallyPrioritise work effectively and to maximise efficiency in working practicesUnderstand individual role in the context of the practice group and pro-actively seek to contribute to increased efficiency in developing a case load appropriate to level of technical, legal knowledge;Build working relationships internally and externally in order to develop business networks and create a solid understanding of the Firm’s direction and client needs;To provide support and act as the 'go to person' for more junior members in the teamWhat will help you succeed in this role? Essential:5+ years PQE experience and a strong interest in property damage work.We are also open to considering candidate of all levels of PQE due to an ever expanding team and client demands.Prior experience handling an insurance property related caseload, including experience in third party property damage, product liability, policy coverage and subrogated recoveries.Technical expertise and a strong interest in Commercial Insurance matters generally.A proven track record of delivering results within strict deadlines and timeframes.Desirable:The ability to communicate and manage often complex issues for both internal and external stakeholdersA self-motivated individual who can also effectively coach and develop others within the teamWhat we offer?We are committed to ensuring that each member of our team feels valued and duly rewarded during their time at DWF.We are an equal opportunities employer that celebrates diversity and we are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all.
