Job Summary

We are looking for a US Regulatory Reporting professional with 5–8 years of relevant experience in preparing, reviewing, and analyzing US regulatory returns and regulatory capital reporting. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of US GAAP financial reporting, regulatory reporting requirements, Basel III, and regulatory capital , along with experience in reconciliations, reporting controls, and stakeholder management.

Candidates with a CA qualification and hands-on experience in US GAAP Financial & Regulatory Reporting will be preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review US regulatory reports and returns , ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely submission.
• Work extensively on regulatory filings such as:
• FR Y-9C
• FFIEC 031
• Basel III / Regulatory Capital reports
• Other applicable US regulatory returns.
• Perform detailed analysis and reconciliation of regulatory reporting data with US GAAP financial statements and general ledger balances .
• Ensure compliance with applicable Federal Reserve, FFIEC, and regulatory reporting requirements .
• Prepare and review regulatory capital calculations , including capital ratios, risk-weighted assets, and related disclosures.
• Investigate reporting breaks, variances, and data inconsistencies and coordinate with Finance, Risk, Operations, and Technology teams for resolution.
• Maintain robust reporting controls, documentation, and evidence to support internal and external reviews.
• Support month-end/quarter-end regulatory reporting processes and ensure adherence to reporting calendars and deadlines.
• Perform variance analysis and provide commentary on significant movements in regulatory reporting figures.
• Support internal/external audits, regulatory reviews, and control testing related to regulatory reporting.
• Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes, controls, data quality, and automation.
• Stay updated on changes in US regulatory reporting requirements, US GAAP, Basel III, and regulatory capital regulations and assess their impact on reporting processes.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• 5–8 years of experience in US Regulatory Reporting, Financial Reporting, or a related Finance/Regulatory Reporting function.
• Strong hands-on experience with FR Y-9C and FFIEC 031 reporting.
• Good understanding of Basel III and US regulatory capital requirements .
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting principles .
• Experience in reconciliations, reporting controls, variance analysis, and data validation .
• Ability to interpret regulatory requirements and translate them into reporting processes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work effectively under strict reporting deadlines.
• Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
• Advanced MS Excel skills; experience with reporting/financial systems is an advantage.

Preferred Qualifications

• CA / CPA /Any Grad equivalent professional accounting qualification preferred.
• Prior experience in US GAAP Financial & Regulatory Reporting .
• Experience working with large banks, financial institutions, or global financial services organizations.
• Exposure to regulatory reporting automation, data analytics, or reporting transformation initiatives.
• Experience interacting with US-based stakeholders and regulatory/audit teams.
