What they need

Join Our Amsterdam Valuation Services Team

Kroll's Valuation Services practice is seeking a highly motivated Senior Associate to join our growing team in Amsterdam.

Our professionals provide independent valuation advice for financial reporting, tax, transactions, restructuring, litigation and strategic decision-making purposes. Working with leading private equity firms, corporates, financial institutions and legal advisors, our team delivers robust and critical analyses across a broad range of industries and asset classes.

As a Senior Associate, you will take ownership of complex valuation engagements, work directly with clients and contribute to the continued growth of our practice. You will benefit from close mentorship from experienced Directors and Managing Directors, while enjoying clear career progression opportunities within Kroll's global platform.

Navigating Responsibilities

Perform valuation analyses for public and private companies across a wide range of industries and purposes, including financial reporting, tax, transaction support, restructuring and dispute-related matters. As part of this, you will:

  • Independently develop and review Discounted Cash Flow (DCF) models and other complex financial analyses.
  • Perform market-based valuation analyses, including trading multiples and precedent transaction analyses.
  • Prepare high-quality valuation reports and presentations for clients, auditors, tax authorities and other stakeholders.
  • Conduct industry, market, competitor and company-specific research to support valuation conclusions.
  • Interact directly with clients to gather information, discuss assumptions and manage engagement workflows. Collaborate with colleagues across Kroll's international network on cross-border engagements.

In addition to this, you will support senior team members in business development activities, proposals and client presentations, and contribute to the coaching and development of junior team members and analysts.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Master degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in valuation, transaction services, corporate finance, investment banking, private equity, accounting advisory or a similar environment.
  • Strong experience in independently building and reviewing DCF models and determining appropriate assumptions.
  • Experience performing market approach analyses, including trading comparable and transaction comparable analyses.
  • Experience drafting valuation reports and communicating conclusions to clients and other stakeholders.
  • Advanced Excel, PowerPoint and financial modelling skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; Dutch language skills are required.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high-quality standards. Team-oriented mindset combined with the ability to work independently.

What We Offer

  • Exposure to a wide variety of valuation assignments and industries.
  • Direct client interaction and responsibility from day one.
  • Close mentorship and guidance from experienced valuation professionals.
  • A collaborative and entrepreneurial team environment.
  • Attractive compensation and rich benefits including sports memberships and health insurance. We also offer variable compensation that aims to reward the top-performers of our firm.
  • Continuous professional development and training opportunities. Clear career progression opportunities within a global market-leading advisory firm based on performance rather than time in a role.
