Senior Attorney

Description Working hours are generally between 15-20 hours per week, to a maximum of 40 hours; and Park Attendants are needed on Mondays through Fridays from 3 p.m. until dark and during daylight hours on Saturdays and Sundays.

Based on assignment, this is routine assistance at the Grand Traverse County Civic Center park based on applicable departmental policies and procedures. Work is performed independently and initiative is required. Work is reviewed by supervisors through completed tasks, records, and reports. Errors are usually detected in subsequent operations. Position requires regular communication with the public and employee is expected to handle difficult contacts. This position may require irregular hours and will also require working outdoors.

Examples of Duties

May Include But Are Not Limited To The Following

• Provides assistance to park users, where applicable and when possible
• Ensures all users are adhering to park rules and bans violators from activities
• Acts as liaison between users
• May collect user fees
• Handles minor situations and reports problems or accidents to appropriate parties, including family members, park officials, police agencies and emergency personnel
• Provides written reports on accidents, incidents, and other needed information
• Monitors bathroom supplies and may be required to restock and/or perform clean up

Typical Qualifications

• High school graduation or G.E.D. may be required based on assignment
• Some experience working independently is desirable
• Must be at least 18 years old
