Senior Audit Associate

Key responsibilities

• Plan, lead and complete audit engagements from start to finish across a portfolio of clients in various industries
• Prepare and review audit working papers, and ensure compliance with MFRS / MPERS, ISAs and the Companies Act 2016
• Supervise, coach and review the work of junior associates on the field
• Act as the main point of contact for clients, and build relationships with their management and finance teams
• Identify audit issues and control weaknesses, then propose practical recommendations to clients
• Prepare draft financial statements and assist with tax computations
• Help us keep improving our workflow, tools and training. Your ideas will actually get heard.

What We're Looking For

• Degree in Accounting, or a professional qualification (ACCA, MIA, CPA, MICPA) or one in progress
• At least 2–3 years of external audit experience in an audit firm
• Solid working knowledge of MFRS / MPERS and Malaysian audit and tax requirements
• Able to manage several engagements and meet deadlines independently
• Confident leading a small team and communicating with clients
• Proficient in Mandarin, as you will be dealing with Mandarin-speaking clients, plus good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia
• Honest, proactive, and comfortable speaking up about problems, ideas and goals
