Senior Auditor – Public Accounting

Location: Houston / The Woodlands, TX

Job Type: Full-Time

A well-established public accounting firm is looking for an experienced Senior Auditor to join its growing audit team. This is an excellent opportunity for an audit professional who wants meaningful responsibility and exposure to public accounting engagements without the demands of a large national firm environment.

The Senior Auditor will take ownership of audit engagements from planning through completion , work closely with clients, and provide guidance to junior team members.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Lead and complete assigned audit engagements from planning through wrap-up
• Identify audit issues and communicate recommended, risk-focused solutions
• Develop and perform appropriate audit testing procedures
• Obtain, review, and document audit evidence
• Ensure audit conclusions are well-supported and aligned with professional standards
• Supervise and mentor junior auditors
• Review team members' work and provide constructive guidance
• Communicate effectively with engagement teams and clients
• Work collaboratively with clients to obtain necessary information while minimizing disruption
• Contribute to a strong client-service experience

What We're Looking For:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 3+ years of audit experience within public accounting
• CPA license or actively pursuing the CPA
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills
• Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and teamwork abilities
• Knowledge of GAAS
• Experience with financial statement preparation

Schedule:

Monday–Friday, with some late evenings and Saturdays during busy season .

Candidates must be able to reliably commute to the Houston/The Woodlands area or be willing to relocate.
