Senior Auditor

The Firm:

Our client is a well-established independent CPA firm in the Buffalo Niagara region, serving privately held businesses, not-for-profit organizations, and HNW individuals. The firm has a defined, merit-based advancement path and a reputation for developing its people.

The role:

• Run audit engagements in the field, taking ownership of significant sections from planning through wrap-up
• Perform and document audit procedures across areas such as cash, receivables, inventory, fixed assets, payables, and accruals
• Prepare draft financial statements and apply GAAP to client situations
• Work directly with client personnel to understand their operations and resolve open items
• Guide and review the work of associates on your engagements
• Flag issues and progress to the engagement manager early and in an organized way

What we are looking for:

• 2+ years of public accounting experience in audit and assurance
• CPA license, or actively pursuing it
• Solid technical grounding in GAAP and audit methodology
• Comfort working on site with clients and communicating with client teams
• Someone ready for more responsibility and a clear path toward manager

The Goods:

• $85,000 to $95,000 base salary, depending on experience
