Senior Automation Engineer

Main Job Responsibilities

• Oversee the programming, configuration, maintenance, and optimization of DCS, PLC, SCADA, HMI, and industrial control systems.
• Lead troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and corrective actions to minimize plant downtime.
• Lead automation projects, system upgrades, commissioning, and shutdown activities.
• Develop and support Industry 4.0 solutions using Python, C/C++, Java, MQTT, REST API, OPC UA, and database integration.
• Support digitalization initiatives, including IIoT, AI, Power BI, and predictive maintenance solutions.
• Prepare AutoCAD Electrical drawings and maintain automation system documentation.
• Provide technical guidance and training to Automation Engineers and Technicians.
• Coordinate with Production, Process, IT, and external vendors to improve plant automation and reliability.
• Promote compliance with safety, quality, cybersecurity, and 5S standards.
• Carry out any other duties as assigned by Company Management.

Requirements:

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related field.
• Have 3 to 5 years of working experience in automation and control systems within the cement industry.
• Strong knowledge of ABB DCS, PLC, SCADA, HMI, Modbus, Profibus, Profinet, OPC UA.
• Experience with Python, Java, C/C++, SQL, MQTT, REST API.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD Electrical, Power BI, IIoT, AI, industrial networking and cybersecurity.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with safety standards and regulations in an industrial setting.
