As part of our European expansion, we are establishing our Romania R&D Center in Bucharest to support customer programs, local engineering delivery, and future product innovation.

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Automotive Software Integration Engineer to join our Romania R&D Center.

In this role, you will be responsible for software integration, system builds, release management, and continuous delivery for next-generation IVI and cockpit platforms. You will work closely with engineering teams in Romania and China to ensure high-quality software releases for internal validation, customer milestones, and production programs.

Responsibilities

• Own daily software integration activities for IVI / cockpit platforms
• Manage software builds, release baselines, and version deliveries
• Maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Git, Gerrit, or similar tools
• Support Linux / Android system image generation, packaging, and deployment
• Coordinate with BSP, middleware, application, and testing teams to ensure successful integration
• Troubleshoot build failures, dependency conflicts, and system-level issues
• Deliver stable and testable software releases for internal teams and customer milestones
• Improve release efficiency, automation coverage, and software quality processes
• Support issue analysis during validation and customer testing phases
• Contribute to engineering best practices for the Romania R&D Center

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
• 5+ years of experience in software integration, build/release engineering, or embedded software development
• Strong knowledge of Linux environments and Shell / Python scripting
• Hands-on experience with Git, branching strategies, Gerrit, Jenkins, CI/CD workflows
• Experience in troubleshooting complex software integration issues
• Good understanding of embedded systems or automotive software development lifecycle
• Strong communication skills in English
• Self-driven, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in an international environment
• Solid understanding of Multi-version management within a single baseline,and skilled in judging when and how to create a software branch in order to reduce unnecessary maintenance efforts

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with automotive IVI, cockpit domain controller, telematics, or ECU software projects
• Experience with Android Automotive OS, AOSP, Yocto, or Embedded Linux BSP
• Familiarity with Qualcomm, NXP, Renesas, or similar automotive platforms
• Knowledge of CAN/LIN/Ethernet vehicle communication systems
• Experience working with OEM / Tier 1 automotive customers
• Knowledge of ASPICE, ISO 26262, or automotive quality processes
